American Mercenary is a look at the life of a former Navy SEAL turned hired gun. We wanted the cover to show the dark, mysterious nature of that high-risk, high-paying kind of work on the cover, giving the reader a visual glimpse into a world that few really know about.
Duo Sudeste is a local classical guitar duo, that performs music from Latin and South America, arranged or composed for two guitars. For their newest release, they requested a “Blue Note” vibe, similar to the old jazz records of the 60’s.
Neighborliness is a book about crossing the dividing lines of politics, race, economics, and more, to build up each other and build God’s kingdom.
The Flower Kitchen is a family owned business by our friends Lee and Melissa, that’s part flower shop, part coffee shop, part café, and completely amazing. This new brand is more flower forward than their original venture, Taylor Street Coffee & Tea, and provides the Cool Springs area of Franklin floral and café experiences they are in much need of.
We are honored to have been chosen to design the Tennessee Driving to a Cure License Plate, for breast cancer awareness. Proceeds will support breast cancer screening through TDH’s Tennessee Breast and Cervical Screening Program. Operation Andrew Group hired us to begin their year long rebrand project by designing the primary brand logo, and the logos of their three ministry initiatives.
Servpro West Nashville hired us to design a special wall in the conference room of their completely renovated, high-end and super-chic facility. Since this branch serves areas all over Nashville, we designed an abstract map that shows all 19 of the zip codes they serve. Behind the large dimensional sign and zip code locations are all 5,000+ streets from the zip codes. The images here show the project from concept to completion.
Kabul chronicles America’s retreat from Afghanistan in 2021, and the politics and bureaucracy that contributed to the catastrophe. The authors also share inspiring stories of the bravery and sacrifices exhibited by countless Americans on the ground. We wanted this cover to feel like you were in the conflict and retreat, and the photography does so, of the literal boots on the ground.
As part passion pitch and part celebration of the new executive team brought on to turn around this most iconic of guitar brands, we created a few ads and posted them online, which got the attention of one of their top executives. That conversation got us in the door which led to more more conversation and more ads, that you can see by scrolling down through this gallery.

The book shares biblical wisdom and sage marriage advice with fun date ideas, thoughtful conversation starters, short prayers, and creative techniques to help couples recapture joy in their marriage.
Redeeming Food is a book about restoring our relationship with God’s gift of food and to equip readers to navigate sickness and health struggles with wisdom and freedom, through faith and action. We designed the cover and interior for this first-time author.
Parents of the World, Unite! is a book for American parents who believe they should be able to raise their children without government interference in their moral, religious, and ethical choices. We had a blast working on this one, with the concept being that of an activist sign. The client picked it with zero changes to the design.
Our friend Zac Childs, a well-known guitar tech and gear aficionado, hired us to brand his new YouTube Channel, which is an extension of his column for Vintage Guitar Magazine. Zac loves all things vintage gear wise, so that became the direction we steered the brand identity, with a vintage tv/talk bubble mark and a vintage color palette. We also crafted the tagline that appears on all social media headers, as shown below. In addition to his brand identity, we have created a line of merchandise, starting with t-shirts, as shown below.

This cover design is all about sparking creativity with just the words on the page, which is exactly what this book is about. It helps writers out of creative blocks, and even helps them get going when they have no idea where to start.

The client asked for something big, bold, timely and important, with an abstract nod to an American flag.
McPherson Guitars commissioned us to design and illustrate the art for a super high-end, very limited-edition of acoustic guitars, called The Four Seasons. Each of the four guitars represented a season of the year and the fretboard designs carried the theme for each guitar. There were only one of each guitar made.
This book is about seven characteristics of contemplative living: longing, attention, patience, playfulness, vulnerability, non-judgment, and freedom. All of which the author chose to think and write about, from his green recliner.

No Is a Beautiful Word is a book for people whose life feels overloaded. They need help to navigate the chaos that life provides on a daily basis. We decided to take a literal approach to the title, with giant, beautiful type for the word No, as well as the other type. Turns out that no IS a beautiful word.

The style that Mary Magdalene is illustrated in here was a departure for us, but a most welcomed one, and we are very happy with the outcome, as is our amazing client.
Rebrand pitch for Elixir Strings, one of the leading manufacturers of strings for guitar, bass, mandolin and banjo. In addition to the logo, we presented concepts for packaging, advertising and social media. The new logo has an all-new corporate color palette of metallic charcoal and copper, which along with the package, advertising and social media, raise the sophistication of the brand to be on the same high level as the products they produce.
Our good friends at Zondervan contacted us about illustrating some Bible verses for the Beautiful Word Bible, which contains over 500 illustrated verses inside. Not only did we do 112 of the 500+ verses for the interior, but we also designed the cover and the divider pages.
Our friends at Zondervan hired us to design this Bible package that presents the Bible in “real time”, with it set in an innovative, new, chronologically-based format.
The logo here is an M, which stands for marriage, as well as two people holding hands, to express their same-sex marriage. The book helps equip pastors and church leaders to minister to couples in same-sex marriages, as well as the people impacted by those unions.
Live Love Now from our friend and New York Times Bestselling author Rachel Macy Stafford, showcases custom hand-lettering and illustration. The book deals with stressors facing young people today and provides strategies for adults to compassionately connect with their kids.
Rebrand for AllParts, one of the leading manufacturers of spare parts for guitars, basses and amplifiers. In addition to the logo, we presented concepts for their packaging, website and business card, to give them a glimpse of how their new brand identity would carry across all platforms of their business. The goal behind the rebrand was to elevate AllParts’ identity to look like the market leader that they are for their industry, and give their packaging and corporate presence a look and feel that is on par with the products that they produce.
Our friends at Zondervan hired us to do this super fun cover for a book about the freeing power of authentic grace. The cover art, which is completely hand-drawn, takes its inspiration from old show posters and medicine packaging from the late 1800’s to early 1900’s.
Our friends at Thomas Nelson hired us for this fun fiction book cover. Swipe follows three kids caught in the middle of a conflict in a dystopian society. It won a Gold Addy Award here in the local design district.

This book is a devotional and musical journey through Psalm 119 of the Bible, so we created a journey on the cover from a music staff, that winds itself all over the front cover, over the spine and onto the back cover.
LifeWay commissioned us to illustrate a special collage to celebrate their 20th anniversary of being in a publishing partnership with author and speaker Beth Moore. All of the art represented in the flowers come from various Beth Moore Bible study covers.
Baker Storey McDonald Properties is a local commercial and retail real estate firm. Since there are three principal partners in the firm, we came up with a mark that represents each partner, using different colored bars and rings that symbolize different areas of expertise and strength within the company.
Our friends at Upper Room Books hired us to design the cover for this book that’s about interacting with the stories and sayings in scripture that people don’t understand, and provides practical tools which encourage writing and a deeper exploration of the Bible.

This year-long, through-the-Bible memory journal contains a reading for each day, plus a short insight into each book of the Bible. Since the Bible starts with Genesis, we illustrated an apple on a beautiful tree to represent the beginning, in the Garden of Eden.

Our friends at Baker Books hired us to illustrate the cover for this book which addresses the fears that women face, and helps them live their lives with passion, freedom and purpose. This concept of the empty bird cage perfectly symbolized that.
Wild and Free is a book about finding freedom for women from the things in life that holds them back, and embracing freedom to step into the wild and holy call of God in their lives. The client chose a different cover than this one, but we love this so much that we have to share it with the world.
